I heard from many of you who want to support the Battersea Anthology but cannot make it to the launch party (15 November 2023, Battersea Bookshop, RSVP here).

Don’t worry! The launch party is a great way to meet the writers and hear them reading first-hand their precious work.

However, we are also launching pre-orders.

Why preorder the 2023 Battersea Anthology now?

For a publisher with a small budget like us, minimising risks and maximising funds is the most important way to encourage the business to continue. Pre-ordering our book helps us to budget and calculate how much do we have to print. And more importantly, if you are buying an e-book, it would help us massively in terms of avoiding printing cost whilst spreading the word to a wider audience.

Will you help us to accumulate enough funds to publish next year’s anthology? In case you aren’t already aware, this anthology pays the writers who are contributing to the anthology (which is not always the case).

We will donate to schools and universities

The vision of Battersea Anthology is to chronicle the changing landscape of the Battersea and Nine Elms area, but also to create an information hub and network for emergent writers.

We will donate some copies to schools and universities because we want to encourage more young people to pursue a dream of writing (many don’t even know that it’s possible to pursue this dream on the side).

We want to make sure they have the resources and knowledge to know how to let their creativity and talents shine.
